Ain't She Sweet

Ain’t She Sweet is a charming father-daughter acoustic music duo, combining the fresh talent of newcomer Charlie Taylor-Gillespie with the seasoned expertise of her father, Gary Gillespie, who brings decades of performance experience, while Charlie infuses their performances with youthful energy and a modern twist. 

 

Shortly after forming in the summer of 2024, Ain’t She Sweet was asked to perform on the Subaru Stage as well as the Guitar Trail in Collingwood. They were also featured as part of the Music at the Waterfront series in Owen Sound along with various other performances throughout the year.

 

Gary’s long and prosperous career in the music industry has earned him a devoted following and a wealth of musical knowledge. His guitar skills, captivating stage presence and rich vocals carry a lifetime of stories and memories.

 

Charlie, on the other hand, is a rising star with a voice that resonates with emotion and authenticity. At age 15, Charlie won the Youth Discoveries Program which landed her a spot playing at Summerfolk 48. Despite being new to the music scene, her natural talent and passion for music shine through in every performance. With her fresh perspective and infectious enthusiasm, she adds a contemporary edge to their acoustic arrangements.
